The cookies this site sets

One cookie, and it is strictly necessary.

  • _cfuvid — set by Cloudflare through our host, Webflow. It tells one visitor apart from another so that rate limits and abuse protection apply correctly. It carries no advertising identifier and is not used to build a profile of you. It is a session cookie, marked HttpOnly, and your browser discards it when you close it.

There are no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies and no social media cookies on this site. There is no Google Analytics tag, no Meta pixel, no LinkedIn Insight tag and no advertising network. The site also stores nothing in your browser’s local storage or session storage.

Do we ask for your consent?

No consent banner is needed for this site as it is built today, because the only cookie it sets is strictly necessary to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. The laws that require a banner — such as the EU and UK ePrivacy rules — exempt strictly necessary cookies, and no US state law requires one for a site like this.

If analytics or advertising are ever added here, that changes. A consent mechanism would have to be in place before any such tag goes live, and this page would have to be updated first.

Outside services the site loads

Even where no cookie is set, asking another company’s server for a file tells that company your IP address. These are the ones this site uses.

  • Cloudflare Turnstile — on the Contact page only, to keep automated spam out of the enquiry form. It can set its own cookie if it needs to run a challenge.
  • Google Fonts — the typeface used across the site is requested from Google’s servers on every page.
  • Google Hosted Libraries — a small font-loading script is requested from Google’s servers.
  • Webflow and its content delivery network — host this site, its images and its scripts.

Turning cookies off

Every browser lets you block or delete cookies, usually under Settings and then Privacy. Blocking the cookie above may make abuse protection work less well, but the site will still function.
